The Board of Directors and Randy Wise Homes will give a presentation to Magnolia Plantation owners on the recent agreement for the expansion of our community on the evening of June 10th. The event will be held at Crosspoint, Bluewater Bay Campus at 6:00pm. There will also be a Zoom web-link available for the meeting. Mail outs will go to all residents starting next week, and will include a copy of the agreement as well as a proxy form for your vote. Please familiarize yourself with the agreement ahead of time so that the meeting can be as productive as possible. We look forward to seeing you there! A digital copy of the agreement is posted here:
Friends and Neighbors,
Negotiations with Randy Wise Homes (RWH) concerning the expansion of Magnolia Plantation and the future usage of the fairways have concluded. Thursday evening, at a special legal strategy meeting, the Board of Directors voted unanimously to accept the Expansion Agreement. At the conclusion of our vote Randy Wise signed the agreement.
The next step is to submit the agreement to our owners for adoption. In the next few weeks you’ll receive numerous documents outlining the agreement as well as proxies for your vote. We’re also planning for an in-person information meeting, augmented with web options, where RWH and the board will present the plans and answer your questions. We hope to complete the voting process over the next 5-6 weeks.
The vote tonight culminated years of often tumultuous negotiations, and secured the wins for our Association that we’ve briefed you on over the last months. We look forward to your participation as we move forward in this process.
Jack Knight, Vice President
Magnolia Plantation POA
As you’ve noticed, the right-side exit gate to Highway 20 is currently down for repair. It will be open during guard hours, but closed and non-functional otherwise. The board is in the process of coordinating repairs.
Hi Neighbors, as you’ve probably heard, we have some new visitors in our neighborhood. The black bears are mostly interested in food sources, so please keep your trash cans inside or adequately secured (difficult to do versus a bear…). Please maintain awareness for your family and pets.
Here are a few announcements that you may like to know. Please don’t hesitate to reach out with questions and concerns. firstname.lastname@example.org
- A new Community Association Management company, Bluewater Association Management LLC, will be taking over for Edna Keefe shortly. We thank Edna for her years of service! Information will be flowing shortly about any changes in things like billing process, contact information, etc.
- Jim McDonald will be retiring from the board this Spring to move closer to family. We also thank him for his years of service.
- Volunteers are always needed. As we’ve all seen, there have been some great self-help volunteer projects this Spring. If you’re available and interested, please reach out to the Board. Currently, the board needs a volunteer to be on the “Fines” committee and to help with landscaping/planning. Please reach out if you’re interested.
- Damaged sign at the Bay Drive entrance. This weekend’s storms finally clobbered the Bay Drive sign. The board was previously planning on a replacement and is working on bids.
Have a great week and enjoy the Spring weather!
